National Atomic Veterans’ Day is observed on July 16. The date was proclaimed by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. in 2021 and 2022 to observe the day with ceremonies and activities to honor our atomic veterans. The legislation to recognize atomic veterans was established as a part of the National Defense Authorization Act in 2022.
